TRACE DE TRAIL
As part of our partnership, Trace de Trail offers a free subscription at Trailer+ and live tracking offer until the end of January, for all participants who want to use the mobile app Trail Connect during the Ultra-Trail of Angkor.
You will access to the following services for free :
- Embark the routes in your smartphone, to locate you at any time on map or elevation profile, including without network access;
- Access to live tracking service to allow your friends to follow you during the race;
- Access to emergency module to quickly contact the organization and communicate your position in case of problem.
To benefit from the subscription free of charge, participants must load the Trail Connect app and create a user account. Then send an email to Trace de Trail (admin@tracedetrail.fr) to request activation of the subscription.
Recommandations :
- The use of the live tracking and emergency module functions requires a subscription to the local telephone network with the possibility of sending data (local SIM card).
- Battery and autonomy of the phone : GPS tracking and live tracking functions engage the battery of the phone. In order to save your battery, 3 recommendations :
- Cut cellular data from the other apps during the race;
- Adjust the frequency of sending your positions in the application settings. By default, your location will be sent every kilometer ;
- Take an external battery in your bag to charge your smartphone when needed !
