Bayon Trail / 64 km

For its 10th edition, SDPO continues its journey of innovation and exploration and invites you to take part on January 23 & 24, 2027, in an exceptional new challenge: the Ultra-Trail® d’Angkor.

The Bayon Trail d’Angkor – 64 km takes place in the heart of the Angkor archaeological site, following the same course as the UTA 100 km, in the northern Cambodian province of Siem Reap. This unique race offers total immersion in a setting rich in history and spirituality.

The start will be given on Saturday, January 24 at 4:00 a.m., simultaneously with the runners of the UTA 100 km, from the Terrace of the Elephants within the Angkor temple complex. The route will then head toward Prasat Ta Som, Cross Roads, and Phnom Bok.

A true jewel of Southeast Asia, Angkor embodies the soul of the Khmer Kingdom. A symbol of national pride, its majestic temples have captivated travelers for centuries with their timeless beauty and continue to inspire visitors from around the world.

At Phnom Bok, you will climb 700 steps to reach a breathtaking panoramic viewpoint, before returning to Angkor via Banteay Samre, Eastern Mebon, and Pre Rup, crossing rice fields and local villages until reaching Ta Nei Temple, where the roots of giant kapok and fig trees twist and snake through a wildly untamed natural setting.

A final 8 km effort, after crossing the French Bridge, will lead you to the finish line at the Terrace of the Elephants…

As with the Ultra-Trail® 100 km, you will experience an extraordinary adventure, one that will stay with you long after the race is over. The warm welcome of the local people can only deepen your love for Cambodia.

Do not miss this rare privilege of running on a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The soul of the Khmer Kingdom, the temples of Angkor are a source of inspiration and national pride for the Cambodian people, and their beauty has fascinated travelers from around the world for centuries.
